One of the perks about my new apartment is the very long, albeit narrow, hallway that leads from the front door to the living room.

The idea is to create a gallery wall and after seeing the latest APT with LSD featuring Patricia Herrera Lansing's home, I'm hooked on the idea. Instead of my original plan of trying to either unify everything with all the same frames or using only black and white pics, I am going to copy the look of colored photos in really simple close cropped frames.
Everything is going to be set against this Cole & Son wallpaper (Malabar) in grey and white, which I found for a steal at a warehouse sale.
Utrecht has these really great inexpensive frames that are just glass with metal clips and to keep things neat and clean, I had all the photos professionally printed on glossy paper with a white border.
Since the wall is away from the windows and has no natural light, I don't have to worry about protective glass to prevent fading. I'm going for a range of sizes from 4x6 to 8x10. Anything bigger for family photos can look a little kitschy and anything below 3x5 can look a little lost. The wall is 12 feet long so who knows how much I'll run with it. Balance is key.
