Sandy Relief

I spent about a week during Hurricane Sandy without power. It was stressful, frustrating and uncomfortable to say the least. It was really just that it was unexpected because in the middle of Manhattan you don't exactly think your power's gonna go.
I will say it was a first for me when I stood on my street and with a little help, pumped gas into the car with a watering can!
But more importantly the situation was also an important lesson in humility, because my "situation"(if you can even call it that) does not even compare to the devastation so many people in the tri-state area faced.
It is important to help out, especially with the temperatures dropping and the holidays around the corner. Check out the @OccupySandy on twitter to find out how you can help out. You can also text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation or click here to help those in need.
